Poker League
f “The Crown Inn” poker league run by Tournament director Richard Mayo aka “The Destroyer” the game is £7 to enter. If you wish to enter next week please come down for around 7:30pm, players of all abilities are welcome. If you want to keep track of the league standings please log onto www.pokerinthepub.com. Each player who comes down will be entered into the league with a chance to win big cash prizes at regional and national tournaments. Their are over 60,000 people playing in the league nation wide and a holiday to Las Vegas to play for. Quiz Night
Thursday night 9pm is quiz night. If you fancy a laugh and would like to win some major prizes just get yourself here. The main quiz offers a first prze of £15 in vouchers and second prize is a £10 voucher. We also have two side games, the first is “Open the box”, in this game we have 10 boxes with various prizes in them ranging from 10p to £50, half a lager to a bottle of champagne. They are all in there it’s just the look of the draw. The second game is “Play your cards right”, in this game you need to negotiate 4 levels of cards guessing higher or lower. At the end of each level you can take a cash prize or gamble and the jackpot this week for “Play your cards right” will be over £100!!!!!!!!!!! Will greed take over or will common sense prevail. Childrens Play Area Open
We have a climbing frame for toddlers and a climbing frame for 6 to 12 year olds. They are situated to the rear of the pub on our out-door drinking area. On sunny summer weekends also pop down and the bouncy castle will be out for children under 8 years old and accompanied by an adult.

Sky & ESPN
We now have a full Sky sports and ESPN package. All Premiership, Champions League and FA Cup games will be shown. Rugby League’s “Super League” has just commenced and all game will be on at least one of our 48″ flat screen TVs. If there is any other sporting event you wish to view, please just ask a member of staff.
